Austin's Allendale neighborhood is full of wonderful homes designed and built in the 1960s. They have a casual mid-century feel, with great native limestone facades. They are Austin's version of the California trend for that time period. The clients - young Texas musicians who have spent time in California - wanted something that fit their lifestyle: a place to hang out with a few friends (and their dog) outside, easy maintenance, and stylish enough to fit the home's character, and a vibe that felt current. Together we created a space that felt modern, clean, and had plenty of room to relax with their friends - and the dog!
